Slop Squash

Slop Squash is a free extension that flags posts, pictures and comments that look AI-made while you scroll.

Image check

Drop in an image. See what it carries.

The same checks the extension runs on a picture in your feed, on one you hand it. Drag images in, paste a screenshot, or pick a few from your computer.

Checked on our servers and not kept. No account, nothing published.

How to read the result

  • What it reads

Content Credentials, the IPTC digital source type, and EXIF fields naming the tool that made the file. Those are declarations attached to the image; the parser reads them and does not verify the signature or certificate chain.

  • What it cannot see

A screenshot, a re-save or an upload that stripped the metadata carries nothing to read, and most platforms strip it. Nothing found is not the same as made by a person, so a quiet result says low likelihood, never proof.

  • What you get back

Every check that ran, with its reading, plus the ones that were skipped and why. Community totals sit beside the estimate as a labelled count; reports do not move it.

Checking sends the image to the Slop Squash API. It is analysed and dropped; what is kept is a hash of it with the verdict, so the next person who checks the same picture gets the answer without another scan. The detectors are listed on how detection works, and the data flow is in the privacy policy.

Stop bringing images here

The extension checks them where you meet them and puts a small squash in the corner of anything it flags. Free costs nothing and needs no account.
